Step by Step
The Tamarin Waterfalls are an impressive natural site, with seven waterfalls and surrounded by a dense tropical rainforest. By choosing this itinerary, you will be accompanied by an expert guide, who will explain the characteristics of the flora and fauna. The activity lasts around 3 and a half hours and includes hotel pick-up.
Also known as the 7 Waterfalls, they are an impressive natural attraction, surrounded by lush tropical vegetation. The water and humidity allow the growth of coconut and milk palms, ferns and tamarinds, which produce fava-shaped fruits with a characteristic sweet and sour taste. The area is also home to a wide variety of tropical flowers, such as hibiscus, orchid, lotus flower and other endemic species.
The area is characterised by lush vegetation and offers a natural environment rich in biodiversity. During the hike, it is possible to spot local wildlife, including macaques, butterflies and tropical birds. Among the latter, it is worth mentioning the fody (with its typical red plumage), the black bulbul or the colourful Mauritius sparrow.
Although the route can be done by many people, it does require a certain amount of fitness. If you are not used to walking or hiking, you may find some sections difficult. In addition to hiking shoes, it is advisable to wear comfortable and light clothing. It is also advisable to pack water, sun cream and a hat to protect you from the sun.
