On this exciting 1-day tour from Windermere, you'll have the chance to follow in the footsteps of the famous Brontë sisters and discover the landscapes that inspired their masterpieces. This is a small group tour with an expert guide where you'll learn all about the history of these famous writers with admission included.
You'll start your adventure by being picked up in air-conditioned, WiFi enabled transport from the meeting point in Windermere. Accompanied by an expert guide, you'll begin with a visit to the village of Cowan Bridge. There you will see the sisters' childhood school which was the inspiration for "Lowood" in Jane Eyre's novel.
You will also visit the village of Wycoller Beck, a place full of stories and a mysterious atmosphere where you can visit two ancient bridges and its ruins from the Romanesque and Gothic periods. Then you will head to theBrontë Parsonage Museum , the former home museum of the sisters.
