Step by Step
On this tour you will have the opportunity, for about half a day, to visit some of the most important pre-Columbian monuments in all of Peru. Accompanied by an expert guide, you will visit the pre-Inca tombs of Sillustani and the Umayo Lagoon, and learn about the past and architecture of these captivating constructions.
The Sillustani burial complex is made up of impressive giant towers, known as chullpas. The most majestic is the chullpa Lagartija, which, at 15 metres high, towers above the rest. In addition to the tombs, you will discover the waru waru, pre-Columbian cultivation fields designed to protect the soil from floods and frost.
You can also enjoy the abundant wildlife in the area and watch the local fauna, which includes different species such as wild boars, flamingos and various wild birds. In the Umayo Lagoon you will also be able to admire species native to the area that cannot be found anywhere else in the world.
At the end of the tour, you will be taken back to the original starting point, as it is a round trip.
