Step by Step
This tour lasts approximately 9 hours and is bound for Marrakech, one of Morocco's most fascinating cities. As well as travelling in a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle, the price includes an expert guide and hotel pick-up.
The first stop is usually the Kutubia Mosque, characterised by its tall square minaret. Its interior is more sober compared to other places of worship but no less fascinating. The list below shows the other stops.
- Sa'didi Tombs - A large mausoleum containing the tombs of the Sa'didi dynasty. The most famous room is the Hall of 12 Columns, made of Carrara marble.
- Bahia Palace - A huge riad - a traditional Moroccan house - surrounded by an open-air garden. In the past, its rooms housed the wives and concubines of the Grand Vizier Ahmed ben Moussa.
- Jemaa el-Fna - Central square and beating heart of Marrakech. This is where many street food vendors are concentrated. You can take the opportunity to sample tanjia (a meat and spice stew), cous cous, tajine (a chicken and vegetable stew) and more.
- Menara Gardens - Characterised by the large pond surrounded by palm and olive trees with the Atlas Mountains in the background. Built in the 12th century by the Saadian dynasty, they are an oasis of peace a stone's throw from the centre.
- Le Jardin Secret - The only green oasis in the Medina. The water that irrigates it comes directly from the Atlas Mountains. It also houses a hammam, a bookshop and a café.
As usual, the city tour ends with a camel ride in La Palmeraie. This green oasis is located in an elegant district, where you will find the most beautiful residences in the city.
