Step by Step
Explore Riga with this guided tour. This is an experience that lasts around four hours and for small groups of about ten people , where a professional guide will accompany you along the most significant points of the Latvian capital.
You will have the opportunity to discover at least three of Riga' s most interesting districts on foot. For example, you will go to the Old Town, the historic centre of the Latvian capital. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is protected and is famous for its preserved medieval and Renaissance architecture.
In this district you will have the opportunity to see some important attractions such as:
- Riga Cathedral: it is a Lutheran cathedral in Gothic style and considered one of the largest in the Baltic countries.
- Three Brothers: three adjoining medieval houses, among the oldest in Riga, with different architectural styles representing the history of the city.
- St. Peter's Church: known for its tall spire, but also for the breathtaking panoramic views from its observation deck.
Another neighbourhood you will visit is the Art Nouveau district near the Old Town. It is worth noting that Riga has one of the largest collections of Art Nouveau buildings in the world, with buildings characterised by ornately decorated facades, sculpted figures, floral motifs and asymmetrical designs.
On the other hand, you will go to the Central Market, one of the largest open-air markets in Europe. It has up to five pavilions where you will have the opportunity to try Latvian specialities, especially meat and smoked fish.
