Step by Step

In this activity you will have the opportunity, for about 10 hours, to discover the West Bank, one of the most culturally and religiously important regions of Israel. Throughout the activity you will be accompanied by an expert guide, who will teach you many interesting facts about the culture and history of the places you will visit.

You will begin your tour at the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem. Dating back to the 4th century, it is known for being built on the site where Jesus Christ is believed to have been born. It is one of the most important pilgrimage destinations for Christians all over the world.

At the Church of the Nativity you will also see the tombs of other important biblical figures, such as Rachel, wife of Jacob and mother of Joseph . Afterwards, continue to the Jordan River and visit Qasr el Yahud, where Jesus is said to have been baptised by John the Baptist.

You will continue your journey through the West Bank to Ramallah, a Palestinian city located about 15 km north of Jerusalem. It is known for its vibrant cultural life, including film and music festivals, as well as its restaurants and cafes, which offer a variety of local and international dishes and drinks.

In Ramallah, you will visit the tomb of Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat who, in 1994, received the Nobel Peace Prize along with Israeli leaders Yitzhak Rabin and Shimon Peres, for their efforts in the Oslo Accords that sought peace between Israel and the Palestinians.

You will then be driven back to Bethlehem, taking the route past Jericho, now considered the oldest city in the world. You will see the ruins of ancient Jericho and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Jordan Valley, before returning to Bethlehem.

In Bethlehem you will enjoy a delicious Arab-style lunch in a local restaurant, allowing you to learn more about the culture of this city through its cuisine. At the end of the tour, you will return to Jerusalem on a tour designed to make you as comfortable as possible.
