  • Thingvellir National Park: declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2004. Located in a valley where the tectonic plates of North America and Eurasia meet. You will see the largest natural lake in the country.
  • Geysir: a very large area with geothermal activity, surrounded by thermal springs. You will visit Strokkur, one of the most famous geysers in the country, which releases a burst of boiling water every 15 minutes.
  • Gullfoss waterfall: an immense block of rock with a waterfall that plunges into a gorge some 30 metres deep. You will walk very close to it to contemplate the amazing scenery.
  • Kerid Crater: a striking volcanic lake with emerald blue water surrounded by reddish rocks.
