Step by Step

Get to know Iceland's capital aboard the Reykjavik City Sightseeing bus. Hop on and off at your leisure during the tour, which lasts approximately one hour and has 16 stops. You can choose a 24 or 48-hour pass, which is activated on first use. You'll also have a multilingual audio guide who will provide live commentary during the tour of Reykjavík.

Visit the attractions that interest you most as you have complete freedom to hop on and off at the stops on this unique route. You can explore Reykjavík at your own pace and hop back on the bus, which starts service at around 9.30am and finishes at 4.15pm, with a frequency of approximately every 45 minutes.

Of the 16 stops on the route, the most notable are:

  • Harpa Concert Hall and Conference Centre: one of the symbols of the Icelandic capital. It stands out as a great radiant sculpture that reflects both the sky and the harbour space as well as the vibrant life of the city.
  • Whales of Iceland: the largest whale museum in Europe and possibly the world. To scale and based on actual specimens found in the wild, a team of expert craftsmen have sculpted 23 cetaceans from Icelandic waters in great detail and realism.
  • The Old Harbour: also known as Reykjavík's harbour, it is located near the city centre. It is the main port of departure for whale watching.

You can show your ticket on your mobile or printed ticket to board the bus, where you will be provided with headphones to listen to the audio guide and learn about the history of the city. You will also have a free WiFi connection to share the best images during the tour.

If you purchase the pass and do not use it, it will be valid for 12 months.
