Step by Step
A Segway tour of Munich is the best option if you want to get the most out of your visit. Touring the city on these two-wheeled motorised vehicles will allow you to get to know it much better, in less time and more comfortably. What's more, they are great fun.
During the approximately 3 and a half hours that the activity lasts, the expert local guide will take you to see the main points of interest of the city, such as:
- The iconic English Garden, Munich's central park.
- The city's most famous Bavarian butcher's shop: Bayerisches Nationalmuseum
- St. Peter's Church, the oldest church, and St. Peter's parish church, as well as St. Lukas, the largest Protestant church in Munich
- The Isar River, one of the city's most popular places of relaxation for the city's inhabitants
- Museums and art galleries, such as Pin (better known as Pinakotheken) or the Deutsches Museum, known for science, industry and technology
- The farmer's market, the Vitualienmarkt
- The Residenz, the former royal palace complex of Munich, and the Maximilianeum, a palace that is today home to a foundation for gifted students and the Bavarian Landtag.
You'll experience an experience full of contrasts, just like the city itself. You'll pass Konigsplatz, the centre of Munich's cultural life and the Nazi marching area, and the Ohel Jakob Synagogue, the main centre of worship for the local Jewish community. There will also be time to stop by the Gartnerplatztheater, the city's gay quarter .
Please note that paid entrance fees to monuments or tourist attractions are not included.
Don't worry if you have never ridden a Segway before, no previous experience is required. You will receive a short training session of approximately 15 minutes before you start to learn the basic handling of the vehicle.
Also, as this is a tour designed for you or for small groups of no more than 8 travellers, you will have the personal attention of the guide whenever you need it.
