Luckily, one of the largest restoration projects will allow you to make this visit and enjoy such a magical place as Carcassonne. There you can walk along the huge wall with 52 watchtowers surrounding the city, and visit the Château Comtal (Château Comtal). You can also visit the 14th century Great Well.

As you'll be on your own, you'll have plenty of time to take in every detail. You might even find the treasure of the Temple of Solomon hidden by the Visigoths when they feared the arrival of Attila, king of the Huns.
