On this hiking tour to Eagle's Eye and Devil's Throat Cave from Plovdiv, you will experience a real adventure in the wild nature of Rhodope. An experienced guide will take you to Eagle's Eye Mountain, Devil's Throat Cave and Trigrad. The tour lasts about 11 hours and includes transportation from your accommodation in Plovdiv and entrance to Eagle Eye Mountain. In addition, the activity will not involve more than 8 people, so you will have a more personalised experience.
You will start your adventure in Plovdiv, from where you will be driven for a couple of hours along some of the most beautiful roads in the country until you reach the Trigard Gorge. You'll pass by the Vacha and Devin reservoirs and along the way you'll be able to observe the vast vegetation that covers this area of Rhodope. After this visit to the gorge, the hiking tour begins with a walking route.
You will walk with your guide for about an hour to the top of Eagle's Eye Mountain. This natural attraction is a lookout point offering breathtaking views of the surrounding area. From the top, you will be able to observe the beauty of the place and take some great pictures to remember.
After the hike you will head to the pretty village of Trigard where you can rest and recharge your batteries. Ideally, try the local gastronomy in one of the restaurants. The excursion does not include lunch, but it does include a strategic stop in this beautiful village with postcard views. You will be able to walk around and see its houses located in an idyllic natural setting.
After relaxing a bit in Trigard, you will head to the Devil's Throat Cave, a place full of stories and legends. You will see the force of the Trigard River flowing into the cave and into an internal waterfall over 40 metres high. The echo of the water falling inside the cave gave rise to legends and stories that your guide will tell you. After this full day adventure you will return to Plovdiv to rest.
