Step by Step

Discover the darker side of Antwerp on this tour of mysteries and legends. This is a private experience lasting around two hours where a professional guide will teach you all you need to know about the sinister side of the northern Belgian city.

It's a walking tour that takes you away from the more touristy sites and takes you to some of the city's more hidden gems. One of the stories you'll hear as you wander around is why Antwerp is known as the diamond capital of the world. Its trade has led to it being associated with forms of organised crime and crime, which has led to a rather dark history.

But in addition to this there are supernatural stories, such as the ghost of Het Steen Castle, which you can visit on this tour. It is a medieval fortress on the Scheldt River that is said to be haunted by the ghost of a former owner, who was murdered by his own brother.

During the tour you will come to the harbour depot, the so-called Felix Pakhuis, which now houses the municipal archive. You will also go through the Red Light District to get to know another particular part of the city where many illegal actions have also taken place.
