What is the weather like in Washington DC in December?
December in the United States, like the rest of the winter, is a generally cold month. Daytime temperatures in Washington DC tend to be low, between approximately 11 and 12 degrees Celsius.

What should I pack to visit Washington DC in December?
What I recommend is that you pack clothes to maintain your body temperature while touring the city. A warm jacket, gloves, scarf, woolly hat and boots should not be missing in your luggage.
It's also advisable to pack light jumpers and at least one mid-season jacket, just in case you get caught on one of those 18-degree days.
Although cooler temperatures prevail, it's advisable to pack light clothing as well, as you can get warm quickly on hikes.
Is December a good time to travel to Washington DC?
Generally, the best months to visit and enjoy all the things to see and do in Washington DC are June, July and August, as they have the most pleasant temperatures of the year.
