More about: Oahu Tourist Cards
As the main island of the Hawaiian archipelago, this is a fantastic destination for a holiday alone, with family or friends; with its natural beauty, rich cultural heritage and diverse attractions, there is no shortage of things to see and do on Oahu!
The Oahu Go Card is ideal for travellers looking to keep their holiday on budget and help them save big when visiting the island's top attractions. Here's everything you need to know about the Oahu Go Card, so you can determine for yourself whether or not it's worth the investment.
1. How much does the Oahu Go Tourist Pass cost?
With a purchase price starting at 80 Euros per adult traveller, one of the most interesting aspects of the Oahu Go Card is the flexibility in terms of plans and availability. For example, its catalogue includes passes ranging from one day to 7 full days on Oahu.
Here is an explanation of the prices offered by the company so you can set your budget.
- 1-day pass: Approximately 80€ per adult and 75€ for children between 3 and 12 years old.
- 2-day pass: Approximately €138 per adult and €118 for children between 3 and 12 years old.
- 3 Day Pass: Approximately €205 per adult and €172 for children aged 3-12. An additional premium experience is included with this pass.

- 7 Day Pass: Approximately €340 per adult and approximately €280 for children aged 3-12. An additional premium experience is included with this pass.
Important: You do not need to use the pass on consecutive days after activation; the pass is valid for 14 days during which you can use up all the days purchased consecutively or leave days in between when you decide not to use the tourist pass.
2. How the Oahu Go Tourist Pass works
This is one of the easiest tourist passes to use, as you only need to purchase the product in a virtual shopping cart and activate it with your visit to the first attraction included in the list.
At the time of purchase you will need to choose the pass that best suits your itinerary, starting with the one-day passes and ending with the 7-day passes.
You will need to have the mobile app of the company offering the service on your phone, in this case the Go City mobile app. This is why I recommend my traveller friends to purchase their pass days before their trip and make sure everything is working properly, in case you might experience network connection problems after your arrival in Hawaii.
How to receive your pass:
Once you purchase your pass on the Hellotickets website you will receive a confirmation email to the email address you entered during the purchase.
This email contains a detailed explanation on how to download the Go City app and activate the pass you have purchased.
3. What is included in the Oahu Go City Pass
As you'll soon realise, this tourist pass is one of the most comprehensive options you'll find in Hawaii. I'll show you in detail the facilities that the pass offers to travellers who decide to buy it.

Possibly the most interesting part of the pass are the experiences in the form of tours and excursions that are included. Below is a list of the most interesting ones.

4. When to buy the Oahu Go Sightseeing Pass
The Oahu Go Card is well worth purchasing on almost any visit to Hawaii because of the many attractions included and the flexibility to visit them. If you want a multi-day card, you don't have to use it on consecutive days, so if you want to alternate days of sightseeing with days of relaxation and spa at the hotel, it's totally possible!
Another great advantage is the possibility of saving money. If you organise your itinerary correctly to visit at least 3 attractions per day you can secure savings of approximately 50% compared to buying each attraction individually.
It is also useful if you are visiting Oahu with family and friends, as even if you buy the card as a group, each member gets an individual pass and the group can split up to visit different attractions or do different activities.
5. When not to buy the Oahu Go Tourist Pass
I do not recommend purchasing the Oahu Go Surf Pass if your Hawaii travel itinerary does not allow for the most popular tourist activities.
People visiting the islands for business, work or a one-off event may find themselves short of time to organise additional excursions, which is why it is not a good idea to pay for a full tourist pass that they will not take advantage of.
For people with a reduced itinerary, the recommendation is to select a few one-off activities based on their tastes and interests.
Fortunately, Oahu is a highly tourist-focused destination, which is why there are plenty of alternatives; from surfing lessons, Luau shows, food tours to helicopter tours, there's plenty to enjoy in this tropical paradise.
6. Other Oahu Go Tourist Passes
Although Oahu once had other tourist passes such as the Honolulu iVenture or Economic Maui Pass, most of them have been phased out, leaving the Oahu Go Pass as the best alternative for travellers visiting the city to enjoy sightseeing.
Here is another very interesting pass that could allow you to save on your trip in case you don't want to buy the Oahu Go Pass.
Passport to Pearl Harbor
Pearl Harbor is among the most important sites in US history during World War II, so a visit to the facility is a must on any tour of the city.
The Pearl Harbor Passport can only be purchased at the complex's visitor centre and offers travellers discounted prices to visit the site's main attractions such as the ships, the two museums and the memorial.
7. Tips for getting the most out of your Oahu Go Tour Pass
If you've already decided to purchase the Oahu Go Tourist Pass, there are a few tips you can do to get the best experience possible during your visit to this tropical paradise.
Check out the attractions that require reservations
Keep in mind that some attractions included in your Tourist Pass may require reservations, so when planning your visit, be aware of which ones and when you will be visiting them.
This is vital if you'll be on the islands during peak tourist seasons, such as winter, and you'll be doing activities with family or a group of friends. Booking in advance would ensure a place for each member of the group.
Visit 3 attractions per day
The best way to get the most out of your tourist card is to organise your itinerary to make the most of every minute; no matter what type of pass you decide to purchase, whether your visit is for 5 days or 10 days on Oahu, organise your travel plan to visit about three attractions each day.
Pay attention to premium experiences
The Oahu Go Tourist Pass offers special premium experiences for those who purchase passes of 3 days or more.
Although the list currently includes about 5 different experiences, keep in mind that each traveller is only entitled to choose one experience from the list to do at any one time during their trip.
To buy the card, take advantage of offers
Some portals such as Hellotickets can get better deals with the companies that organise these types of products, resulting in small discounts that you as a user can take advantage of.
The Oahu Go Card is one of those products that you can get at a reduced price when you buy it on this website. The discount becomes more noticeable if you buy multi-day packages for several people.
Check the hours of use
The Go Oahu pass has a regulated use schedule that goes from 09:00h in the morning until 18:30h in the evening. Unless the activity you want to do indicates a nighttime schedule, for most of the attractions included, you will not be able to use the pass outside these hours.
If you have any doubts about a specific attraction or activity, I recommend that you consult directly with the customer service team days before your trip and once you have purchased your pass.
