Step by Step

Tour the main boroughs of New York: Harlem, Brooklyn, Manhattan and the Bronx on this approximately six-hour tour of contrasts, where you will also experience a gospel mass at The Greater Refuge Temple in Harlem.

These New York religious ceremonies are world famous for attracting worshippers and non-churchgoers alike, thanks to their musical and choral performances featuring predominantly African-American singers.

You'll visit iconic sites in the city, such as the Cotton Club in Harlem, where the golden age of jazz and blues in the 1920s was marked by the likes of Louis Armstrong.

You'll pass the Apollo Theatre, a must-see for tourists to the Big Apple, where musical figures such as Ella Fitzgerald, the 'Queen of Jazz', were born.

While touring the Bronx, you can get your picture taken at the historic Yankee Stadium, home of the New York Yankees baseball team, as well as their arch-rivals, the NY Mets' Citi Field, located in Queens.

In Dumbo, on the banks of the East River and under the Manhattan Bridge, you'll have an exceptional view of the giant buildings and skyscrapers of New York's financial centre, a must-see if you're visiting the city.

You'll visit the home of Brooklyn's Jewish community as you cross the Kosciuszko Bridge, another local landmark, and then cross the Brooklyn Bridge into Manhattan, where you'll enjoy the popular Chinatown and Little Italy, Chinatown and the Italian Quarter.

I am religious and attending a gospel service was one of my must-do activities during my visit to New York. This tour is a great option if you are looking to visit a variety of New York's famous neighbourhoods and landmarks in addition to the service.

The tour includes pick up from the hotel in Manhattan which was great for us as we were afraid of getting lost.
