Step by Step

Visit New York's historic sites with an expert guide as you follow in the footsteps of one of America's founders, Alexander Hamilton. On this exclusive tour for up to 12 participants, you'll spend about two hours touring Wall Street, Federal Hall, Zuccotti Park, the Federal Reserve Bank and more.

During your walk through the streets of the Financial District, your guide will tell you the story of Hamilton and his role in the US financial system. George Washington appointed Hamilton for his knowledge of economics as the first Secretary of the Treasury and created the nation's monetary system.

You will stroll along Wall Street and admire the sculpture of the Wall Street Bull and the Fearless Girl, both icons of the US economy. Although visitors have not been allowed to enter since 2001, your guide will tell you all the details about this important building.

As you gaze at the façade of the Federal Reserve Bank, the richest bank in the world, you will listen to the story of how Hamilton created a plan to bring banking to America.

You'll also enter Fraunces Tavern, the oldest tavern in the Big Apple, where George Washington and Alexander Hamilton, along with other patriots, planned America's independence.

I had no idea that there really is a famous wall on Wall Street! We stopped there and saw the NYSE, Hamilton's tomb and the tavern where Hamilton and Burr spent their last nights. Our guide knows a lot about Hamilton and about NY history in general.

Both my daughter and I really enjoyed the tour, which lasted about two or three hours (we totally lost track of time). If my daughter, who is only 13 years old, was able to stay focused and keep her attention for the whole time, it means that the tour was very interesting! She especially liked the references to Hamilton's musical and the cemetery where he is buried with his friends.
