Step by Step

Explore the area around the Mississippi River on a morning cruise of approximately 2 hours , where you will have wonderful views of New Orleans.

The boat is steamship and has well appointed interior areas that allow ample visibility outside so you can see sights such as:

  • The Port of New Orleans: it is the sixth largest American port. You'll see the longest pier in the world.
  • Chalmette Battlefield: an iconic park that was a battlefield in the 1815s. It is famous for being the place where Jean Lafitte, his buccaneers and Andrew Jackson joined forces to defend themselves against the British in the Battle of New Orleans.

The captain of the boat will narrate interesting stories about the sights of the tour and the city, while you listen to the sweet symphony of live jazz playing in the background.

If you want to make this experience even more special, add a delicious traditional lunch to enjoy the exquisite flavours of the local cuisine. Some examples of dishes that often appear on the menus are the famous jambalaya, southern fried fish or beans and rice.

A must do if you're in the area. This is one of the few steamboats so I recommend you experience it and add lunch!

My trip to this city had been too hectic, so I decided to take it as a way to relax, have a good time on my own, and I did! I enjoyed it 100%.

If you are in New Orleans there is no doubt that this is one of the most complete and entertaining alternatives. I recommend taking it in advance because it can get crowded.
