Step by Step
Depart from Atlanta and get to know the region of North Georgia, including the small town of Helen. This northern region of the state of Georgia is known for its great winemaking tradition and consequently for its rich wines. Moreover, you won't have to worry about transportation, as all bus transfers are included. During the whole tour you will be accompanied by a tour guide.
This guide will be in charge of explaining you all the history and tradition of this place. He will go with you to the 3 wineries you will visit, where you will be able to do different tastings. In particular, he will explain the differences between each wine, as well as what to look out for when tasting them. There are around 13 wine tastings per tour.
The tour lasts about 10 hours, i.e. it takes about a day. In addition to the wine cellars, you will also visit a small village called Helen. This place is full of charm, because its construction perfectly resembles the architecture of northern German villages. You'll find houses with very peaked roofs, village colours and entire streets made of stone cobblestones.
And not everything Helen has to offer is aesthetically pleasing. During your visit, you will be able to enjoy the great variety of products on offer thanks to all the trades that are grouped together. Thus, you can find homemade candles to take home, or the most intricate figures made with blown glass.
