Burj Khalifa Ticket Price

If you're planning a trip to Dubai soon, you won't want to miss the opportunity to visit the observatory of the Burj Khalifa building, the tallest in the world at 828 metres!

It is therefore one of the most popular tourist attractions in the city and tickets to the top of the Burj Khalifa are flying. But do you know how much they cost? In this post I explain everything you need to know to organise the budget for your visit.

What budget do I need for tickets to the Burj Khalifa Observatories?

The Burj Khalifa's At The Top Observatory is Dubai's architectural jewel and the tallest building in the world from where you can enjoy spectacular views of the desert, the ocean and the city skyline at 442 metres above sea level. There are two options for a visit:

  • Entrance to the Burj Khalifa (124th and 125th floors), priced from £40, which gives you access to the exterior and interior observation decks on the 124th and 125th floors of the Burj Khalifa. It's the best option if you're on a budget but don't want to miss out on the experience of seeing the inside of the Burj Khalifa and going up to the observatory.
  • Ticket to the Burj Khalifa (floors 124, 125 and 148), priced from £112, with which you can also go up to the At The Top Sky observatory located several metres above on the 148th floor. One of the advantages of this ticket to the Burj Khalifa observatory is that you can skip the queues and take the super-fast lift directly to the sky of Dubai in just a few seconds. You'll also enjoy a guided introduction.

At the At The Top observation deck you can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the city: Dubai Mall, Palm Jumeirah, Burj Al Arab, Business Bay, The World Islands, the Persian Gulf and more - get up close to the Burj Khalifa's telescopes for an unobstructed view!

What is the price of the Burj Khalifa's At The Top Sky, the exclusive experience?

From £130 you can get a premium ticket to the Burj Khalifa's At The Top Sky observatory. Located on the 148th floor, this is the world's highest observation deck at 555 metres.

The super-fast lift will first take you to the indoor and outdoor platform on floors 124 and 125 of the skyscraper, where you can spend some time taking in the views before enjoying the main course that awaits a little higher up. Or you can head straight to At The Top Sky, the world's highest observatory. The views of Dubai from there are breathtaking: Burj Al Arab, Dubai Mall, Palm Jumeirah, the Persian Gulf, Business Bay and The World Islands, among other locations.

The price of this ticket is more expensive, but climbing to the top of the Burj Khalifa is one of the most amazing experiences you can't miss during your holiday. You won't regret paying for it! Plus, include a small snack with Arabic coffee to savour the moment even more.

When is entry to the Burj Khalifa Observatories the cheapest?

When buying tickets to visit the Burj Khalifa observation decks, keep in mind that they tend to vary in price depending on the time of day, being more expensive at peak times.

So, if you're looking to save a little when doing this activity, my advice is to choose an off-peak hour where the price is cheaper.

In addition, you will have the advantage that in these time slots there are usually fewer people at the attraction so you will enjoy magnificent panoramic views of the city in more exclusive conditions than if you do it in the middle of rush hour, for example, at sunset or contemplating the views from the Burj Khalifa at night. Here's a post about tickets to the top of the Burj Khalifa so you can see what you'll be able to enjoy.

How much do tickets to the Burj Khalifa observatories cost at the box office?

Another possibility to enter the observation decks of the Burj Khalifa is to buy tickets at the Burj Khalifa ticket office. The prices are as follows:

  • Observatory At The Top
  • 124th and 125th floors
  • General Admission
  • Adults (over 12 years old): From 35 €.
  • Children (4 to 12 years): From €25
  • Observatory At The Top Sky
  • 148th floor
  • General admission price
  • Adults (over 12 years old): From 120 €.
  • Children (from 4 to 12 years old): From 120 €.

However, this is not the option I recommend the most because you have to queue for them and there is no guarantee that there will be space available for you to go up on the same day or that they won't be sold out by the date and time you had planned.

For these reasons, my advice is to play it safe and secure your place at the Burj Khalifa by buying tickets online and in advance of your travel date - when the time comes, all you have to worry about is enjoying yourself, not finding available tickets at the box office!

Can I visit the Burj Khalifa Observatory with a tourist card and how much does it cost?

That's right! Entry to the Burj Khalifa's At The Top observatory is included, for example, in two of the city's tourist passes such as the Go Dubai Card (from 276 €) and the Dubai Explorer Pass (from 185 €).

Buying a tourist card to visit a city as luxurious as Dubai is, in my opinion, a good idea because it will allow you to visit the city's main tourist attractions and do a lot of activities while saving money. That's always a good thing. And best of all, priority access to the most important sights of the city - time is money!

Another advantage of these tourist passes is that during your holidays you can benefit from interesting discounts in different areas of Dubai.

We compare Dubai Tourist Cards

  • Dubai Explorer Pass
  • From £185
  • Choose from 3 to 7 Dubai attractions to visit.
  • Over 45 attractions to choose from.
  • Valid for 60 days from first activation.
  • Go Dubai Card
  • From £276
  • See as many attractions as you want with 2 to 7 day passes.
  • Over 30 attractions to choose from.
  • Valid for 15 days from first activation.

Do children pay admission to the Burj Khalifa Observatory and can you save a little on your tickets?

Children under 4 years of age can enter the observation deck for free, while those older than 4 years of age need to have their own entrance ticket just like adults.

If you'd like to save a little on your budget to visit this skyscraper, there are reduced rates for children to the At The Top Observatory from €25 (for the 148th floor observation deck the ticket price is the same as for adults).

You can use the money you save to give the little ones a souvenir from the Burj Khalifa souvenir shop. They'll be thrilled!

Can I visit the Burj Khalifa Observatories for free?

No, this is not possible. All visitors must have their own ticket to access the Burj Khalifa observation decks. Various prices are available. Only children under the age of 4 can enter the attraction for free when accompanied by an adult.

The same applies to the other areas inside the Burj Khalifa skyscraper. For example, to visit the restaurant or hotel you need a reservation. As it is such a luxurious place, the aim of this measure is to prevent the skyscraper from losing its exclusivity and becoming a mass tourist attraction.

How much does it cost to get to the Burj Khalifa observatories?

It depends on the way you choose to get to the attraction but it won't cost you too much as transport in Dubai is not very expensive. Walking around Downtown Dubai is the cheapest way to get to the Burj Khalifa. If it's not too hot and you have time to spare, I recommend taking a walk to the skyscraper as, apart from being free and not spending a dirham, you'll also enjoy the walk while taking in the desert scenery and the fountains surrounding the complex.

However, if you need to get from one part of the city to another to get to the observatory quickly because you're pressed for time, my advice is to take the Dubai Metro, with a single ticket costing from €0.80 depending on the distance to your destination. And if you prefer to take the bus, you can get on with a ticket that costs from €0.50 although, like the metro, the cost varies depending on the distance of the journey.
