Step by Step

This tour allows you to discover two famous markets around Bangkok: Maeklong and Samut Songkhram. An air-conditioned minibus will pick you up from your hotel and take you to the train station, where you will take a convoy to the attractions. The tour lasts about 6 hours and is designed for small groups (maximum 15 people). An expert guide will be at your disposal at all times.

The first stop is usually the Mae Klong market, which has the peculiarity of being held next to the train tracks. When the convoy arrives, the vendors move the goods, close the tents and put them up again once it has passed. The vendors offer mainly fresh produce, such as fruit and vegetables, meat and fish.

The trip is made to watch the train pass by, which runs at least six times a day. Mae Klong Market is located in the town of Samut Songkhram, about 75 km from Bangkok and a short distance from the next stop, the Damnoen Saduak floating market.

It is held along the canals of Ratchaburi and goods are sold directly from boats. Vendors come from the surrounding area and wear the traditional Ngop Nam Chieo hat, made from banana leaves. Here you will also have the opportunity to take a short boat ride along the canals.

The local guide was an indispensable part of our tour to have the best time, I couldn't have done all this on my own. I had a great time.

Great experience, as much as I have been to more than 30 countries, I have never seen anything like this. I loved it all!

We had an incredible time. It is the first time in my life that I have travelled here and I have been amazed. As a plus, we couldn't resist the variety of fruits in the market, so I recommend bringing cash if you want to buy something fast.
