Step by Step

Experience the culture, art and architecture of Valencia on a walking tour of approximately 2 hours, through the most emblematic places of the city.

You will be accompanied by a local guide who will tell you the stories that each place holds, some of them are:

  • Parish of San Nicolás de Bari and San Pedro Mártir: known as the Sistine Chapel of the city. It is characterised by its 15th century Gothic architecture and its imposing 17th century Baroque decoration.
  • Valencia Cathedral: it preserves jewels such as the Renaissance paintings of the high altar and the holy chalice, which is the cup where Jesus Christ drank for the last time when he was with his disciples.
  • La Lonja de la Seda (Silk Exchange): an incredible building of Valencian civil Gothic architecture declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1996.
  • Serranos Towers: these are the gates of the medieval wall of Valencia that are still standing. This is where travellers from the Serranías area used to enter, hence its name.
  • Palacio de la Generalidad: its late Gothic architecture is known for its late Gothic architecture with Renaissance interventions in the 15th century.
  • Archaeological Centre of the Almoina: archaeological museum where traces of the Romans and the Middle Ages are preserved.
  • Plaza de la virgen: one of the most important squares in Valencia, where the Basilica and the Cathedral are located, and where you will see other points of interest of the city.

You will be accompanied by a small group of a maximum of 20 people.

San Nicolas and the walk through the square were my favourite stops. Everything was great, it couldn't have been better! We learned a lot and the guide gave us some tips on how to get to know the city better.

Every year I travel with my mother to a new place and now it was Valencia. I had heard a lot about it but I never imagined that we would have such a beautiful experience as we did.
