Step by Step
On this tour you will have the opportunity, for around 8 hours, to tour Tenerife and get to know one of the largest and most populated of the Canary Islands. Accompanied by an expert guide, you will pass by some of the most emblematic places of the island, while learning about the history, architecture and local culture.
You will be amazed by the spectacular view of the cliffs of Los Gigantes, formed on volcanic materials, which are characterised by their horizontal walls. They reach between 300 and 600 metres in height.
At the Garachico viewpoint, you can enjoy views of the coast of this Tenerife municipality. You will also visit Icod de los Vinos, a village famous for its thousand-year-old dragon tree, which was declared a National Monument in 1917.
This dragon tree is currently the largest and longest-lived tree of its species known in the world. It is about 18 metres high and has a crown diameter of about 20 metres, as well as more than 300 main branches. It is difficult to estimate its age, but it is estimated to be between 600 and 800 years old .
You will visit the village of La Orotava, in whose municipality you will find most of the Teide Natural Park, which was declared a World Heritage Site in 2007. In this village you will also find the Casa de los Balcones, whose construction dates back to the 17th century. The building is known for its balconies and its carved wooden interior courtyard, as well as for being a cultural centre and a centre for the sale of craft products.
In Puerto de la Cruz you will have time to rest, go sightseeing on your own, go shopping or have lunch. You can also visit Candelaria, the municipality where the basilica of the Virgen de la Candelaria, patron saint of the Canary Islands, is located. The town, located just 2 metres above sea level, is considered to be the place of pilgrimage par excellence in the Canary Islands .
Once the activity is over, you will return to the point of origin, as it is a round trip.
