Step by Step
Participate in an exclusive gastronomic experience in Madrid, you will have the opportunity to delve into the Spanish culinary tradition with the preparation of three representative dishes: the iconic Valencian paella, the classic tortilla de patatas and the refreshing sangria. With the guidance of a local chef, you'll discover the techniques required for each recipe, from choosing fresh ingredients to the essential steps to recreate the authentic flavours that define Spanish cuisine.
The activity begins with some classic tapas. During this time, you'll learn how to make sangria, an iconic drink that you'll enjoy while making the rest of the dishes. You will also have the opportunity to try other traditional drinks that will be available to accompany the process.
Next, you will embark on the preparation of the famous tortilla de patatas (potato omelette). The host will guide you step-by-step through the proper technique to achieve the perfect texture, from the beating of the eggs to the exact cooking point. Once finished, you will be able to taste your creation and enjoy the authentic taste of this Spanish classic.
The main dish of the class will be paella, one of Spain's most renowned specialities. The chef will share with you the history and traditions surrounding this dish, explaining how it has evolved and why it remains a symbol of local gastronomy. Once the paella is ready, you'll sit down to enjoy the preparation with the other participants.
