Some of the points of interest in Las Palmas that you will be able to pass through are:
- Maspalomas Dunes: this is a wild spot unique in the Canary Islands for its beauty and variety of ecosystems. Its 400 hectares, protected by the Canarian Government as a Natural Reserve of special value, include a fantastic beach, a dynamic dune system, a palm grove and a salt lagoon.
- Maspalomas Botanical Park: contains a wide variety of plant species, some grouped according to their place of origin, habitat or use. Many come from the Canary Islands and some are quite unusual.
- Maspalomas Lighthouse: an icon of Gran Canaria, with a height of 54.70 metres. It is the third tallest in Spain, after the Tower of Hercules in La Coruña and the Chipiona Lighthouse in Cádiz.
- Puntas Mujeres site: this is a coastal settlement of Canary Island aborigines, dating from the 7th and 9th centuries, where remains of domestic structures were found.
It should also be borne in mind that this vehicle is not suitable for driving on sandy stretches or along the seafront promenade. In the event of any mishap, roadside assistance is available with this reservation.
