Step by Step
On this guided tour of Girona you'll explore a historic city in Catalonia, where colourful houses, city walls, bridges and a medieval quarter make it a must-see destination for tourists.
An expert guide will accompany you on an unforgettable tour of its timeless streets, which preserve the essence of a town from another era, combined with modernist nuances that complete an idyllic landscape of two axes crossed by the Onyar River.
You will have the opportunity to visit on foot, in an experience of approximately three hours, the most emblematic routes of Girona, which includes places such as:
- Girona Bridges: you will cross the iconic structures that make it possible to walk on both sides of the city: the bridges of Sant Feliu, d'en Gómez, Sant Agustí, de Pedra and les Peixateries Velles.
- Rambla de la Llibertat: stroll along the cultural and social epicentre of the old quarter, where you will find Plaça de Catalunya and a host of terraces, shops and restaurants where you can enjoy Girona's leisure activities.
- Roman wall: from this 60-metre high fortress built in the 1st century BC, you can see the beautiful traditional houses of the region, the imposing cathedral and the Pyrenees mountains.
- Jewish quarter: you will be amazed by the houses and buildings of medieval architecture in the Jewish quarter, structures that seem to have been trapped in time and provide one of the most incredible landscapes of the city.
- Cathedral of Santa Maria de Girona: it is known for having the widest Gothic-style nave in the world. Located in the Força Vella area, it stands on the highest point of the old town.
During the tour, as you visit the destinations, your local guide will give you interesting facts that will allow you to discover the priceless artistic, architectural and natural heritage of this impressive city in Catalonia.
