Step by Step

Visit the Pyrenees, one of Spain's largest mountain ranges separating it from France, on this 1-day excursion. The tour departs from Barcelona and the journey totals around 70 kilometres. All transfers on this tour are included in an air-conditioned minivan, so you can forget about any worries.

A tour guide will accompany you on the trip and throughout the tour. He will explain some of the history of Barcelona, what you see in the landscape along the way, as well as the history of the small Pyrenean villages you visit. You will learn all this while you are part of a small group so that the guide's attention is more focused. Specifically, the groups are around 16 people.

Some of the most emblematic villages you will visit are Vic and Queralbs. Vic stands out for being an ancient medieval city with a cathedral and buildings that mix architectural styles such as Romanesque, Renaissance and Baroque. You will also visit its ancient Roman Temple and the old market which is still in use.

On the other hand, you will also visit Queralbs, a much more rural village located in the mountains. Queralbs is located in the Nuria Valley and on this excursion you will climb to the top of Nuria thanks to a rack railway. Once you get to the top you will have free time to do whatever you want. You can go into the mountain, go horse riding or have lunch in one of the traditional Catalan restaurants.

This trip was quite relaxing and I will probably do it again before the end of the year. I would like to visit the Pyrenees from the French side.

There were no public toilets nearby. The guide was good and the place was very nice.

Going in winter was the best decision I could have made because the scenery is simply different from summer. The snow gives it a different touch.
