Step by Step

Take a moving journey into the past on this approximately 7-hour guided tour from Krakow to the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum.

Accompanied by an expert guide, you will learn about the historical details of one of the most shocking places of World War II, where more than one million people lost their lives. During this tour, you will have the opportunity to reflect on the horrors of the Holocaust and pay tribute to its victims.

The tour starts at the Kiss & Ride bus stop (2 Wielopole), where you will depart for Auschwitz. After a 90-minute ride and a short information break, you will visit Auschwitz I to discover its history and see its barracks, gas chambers and crematoria.

Afterwards, you will move on to Auschwitz II-Birkenau camp, which witnessed the magnitude of the Nazi "Final Solution". A qualified historian will give you detailed explanations throughout the tour.

  • Auschwitz I (main camp): Explore the historical exhibits showing how the first concentration camp functioned and understand the daily life of the prisoners.
  • Gas chambers and crematoria: See the remnants of the mass extermination mechanisms that ended millions of lives.
  • Barracks and internment areas: Learn about the subhuman conditions in which those who were forced to stay in these camps lived.
  • Auschwitz II-Birkenau (extermination camp): Understand the terrible scale of the Nazi operation as you tour the vast grounds where the "Final Solution" was carried out.

At the end of the tour, you will return to Krakow with a deeper understanding of history and a clearer picture of the reality experienced by the victims of Auschwitz-Birkenau. This experience, though hard, is essential to remember the past and to prevent such terrible events from happening again.
