Step by Step
On this tour of around 5 hours and no more than 80 travellers, you will have the opportunity to learn about traditional Dutch rural life from expert guides who will tell you how these people lived in the 17th and 18th centuries.
You will see the green meadows of the Flemish country dotted with the iconic windmills of the Zaanse Schans, erected along the traditional Dutch canals. You'll visit the beautiful fishermen's houses of Volendam, with their views of the sea, and have the chance to sample a multitude of cheeses at a traditional Dutch farm, where you can learn a little more about country life in the Flemish country.
You'll also see a historic boatyard and visit the workshop of a master clog maker, who will tell you all about the manufacturing process Dutch craftsmen follow to make these traditional shoes.
Thetour will end where it began, with a return trip back to the centre of Amsterdam.
