Step by Step
A 2-day trip to the Merzouga desert from Fez is the perfect opportunity to get to know the Berber part of the country the easy way. This is a fully organised excursion designed for small groups, and you will be accompanied by an expert local guide.
You will travel in an air-conditioned vehicle and will be picked up and dropped off at your hotel for your convenience. On the first day you will travel to Merzouga, passing through the impressive Atlas Mountains and stopping in beautiful mountain villages such as Ifran ("the Switzerland of Morocco") or Midelt.
Throughout the day you will enjoy the magnificent scenery and the characteristic Berber hospitality. You will also visit the town of Errachidia, where you will stop for a delicious lunch (on your own). In Merzouga, a camel will take you across the desert to the Berber camp where you will spend the night.
Accommodation, dinner and breakfast are included. You will sleep in a private tent with en-suite bathroom in a luxury desert camp and it will be a very special night. In the morning you will also enjoy another camel ride before returning to your home town.
