One of them is the Jeevanjee Gardens, a spectacular urban park located in the heart of the city's financial district, whose gardens were founded by an Asian-born businessman, after whom the park is named.
You can also see the Railway Museum, located next to the city's railway station. Opened in 1971, it contains exhibits from the defunct East African Railway. Also the Karikor area, where there is an impressive market.
Another place to visit is the August 7th Memorial Park, which commemorates the 1998 US embassy bombing. It's located at the exact site of the attack, on Haile Selassie Avenue in Nairobi, and contains a board with the names of all the people who died in the aftermath of the incident.
