Step by Step

Tour Rome's Trastevere neighbourhood on a Segway by signing up for this three-hour experience, during which you'll take a two-wheeled open-air tour of the area's most emblematic sites.

You will visit, in small groups of a maximum of eight people, squares and monuments that are the living history of the 'eternal city':

  • Basilica of Santa Cecilia in Trastevere: connect with the religious side of Rome as you pass through this Baroque and Gothic style church dating back to the 5th century.
  • Sisto Bridge: it was built by Pope Sixtus IV. Crossing it you will cross the Tiber River and get one of the most beautiful postcards of the city.
  • Temple of San Pietro in Montorio: a Renaissance monument, one of the hidden architectural jewels of Trastevere that refers to the martyrdom of the apostles of Catholicism.
  • Square and Basilica of Santa Maria in Trastevere: in the square of Santa Maria in Trastevere is the church of the same name, considered the main church in the area. It was founded in the 3rd century by Pope Callixtus.
  • Piazza Garibaldi: it is located at the top of the Janiculum hill. There you can see the imposing equestrian statue in honour of Giuseppe Garibaldi, hero of the revolution that unified the territories of Italy.

You can also take pictures with the beautiful Fontana dell'Acqua Paola in the background, a fountain considered a jewel of Roman architecture, built in 1612 and featured in scenes from the Oscar-winning Italian film La grande bellezza.

My friends are already tired of hearing me repeat what a great time I had and how great this tour is, the good part is that I convinced them to come back next year all together.

It is a perfect option so you don't have to tire yourself out visiting places from one to another on foot.

I have spent some time on the Segway filming part of the tour to show my family, now they are the ones who want to go on this tour.

We were enjoying ourselves so much that we didn't want the hours to pass, I would definitely do it again.
