Step by Step
The Prancing Horse is the most famous sports car brand in the world. Buying a ticket for the Ferrari Museum in Maranello allows you to enter the place where it all began and where the Italian manufacturer's extraordinary models are still produced today.
A full visit normally takes an hour and a half, but you can stay longer and perhaps buy some souvenirs in the gift shop. The museum contains a wealth of souvenirs and the list below lists the most popular ones:
- Historic cars - The museum houses a collection of road cars, from the oldest models to the most recent. Highlights include the Dino 206 GT (the first model produced in joint venture with Fiat) or the Ferrari SA APERTA, a limited edition designed by Pininfarina.
- Sala delle Vittorie - The environment that brings together all the single-seaters that have won both the drivers' and constructors' championships since the 1990s. You will see the sports cars driven by legendary drivers such as Michael Schumacher.
- Enzo Ferrari's office - The original office, where the company's founder met with investors, designers and drivers. It's a simple environment that reflects Enzo Ferrari's philosophy, especially the "error cupboard", where he collected faulty parts. In fact, his motto was "by making mistakes you learn".
- Formula 1 Simulators - To experience the adrenaline of the drivers in your own skin. You can "take to the track" on legendary circuits: Monza, Silverstone, Nürburgring, etc. They are very realistic, but if you want to try them out, you will have to pay extra.
Maranello is a small town and it won't be difficult to find the museum, which is located in Via Alfredo Dino Ferrari. If you are travelling by car, you can leave your car in the paid car park a few metres from the entrance. You can also reach it from Modena (by bus, lines 800 and 820) or Bologna (extra-urban bus 640 direction Sassuolo).
