Step by Step

This private Michelangelo tour in Florence will give you a mind-blowing experience as you visit the city's landmarks, where many of his transcendental works are on display.

Your chauffeur will pick you up from your accommodation to embark on a journey steeped in culture and art with a guide who is an expert in the history of the Renaissance master, where you will visit:

  • Galleria dell'Accademia: here you will find the sculptures The Slaves and David, perhaps Michelangelo's most famous sculpture, one of his masterpieces.
  • Museo dell'Opera del Duomo: behind the Florence Cathedral is this museum which houses a priceless collection, including the Bandini Pietà.
  • Basilica of San Lorenzo: this church was designed by Michelangelo in his work as an architect. Inside you will see 'Day, Dawn, Sunrise, Sunset and Night', which he sculpted in marble.
  • Casa Buonarroti: this museum dedicated to his artistic legacy has gems such as the Madonna della Scala and Centauromaquia.

You will also have the opportunity to walk through the streets of Florence and iconic sites such as the space where the now defunct San Marco Gardens once stood, where Michelangelo had a workshop where he created.

The tour also includes a visit to the Basilica of Santa Croce, where the tomb of the artist, author of the Sistine Chapel frescoes The Creation of Adam and The Last Judgement, which marked a milestone in the Renaissance era, is located.

As an optional tour, you can request a visit to the National Museum of the Bargello and the Medici Chapels, two destinations that will illustrate in depth the artistic imprint of Michelangelo in Florence.
