Step by Step

Avoid the queues to access the Medici Chapels in Florence with these priority tickets. Thanks to these passes, you'll enjoy one of the pilgrimage sites for art lovers, especially those who love the Italian Renaissance. You will be able to see some of Michelangelo's greatest works.

These two Medici chapels are located in the Basilica of San Lorenzo and became the mausoleum where the 49 members of the Medici family rest. This clan had unfathomable power and prestige in Florence throughout history, bringing wealth and eternal fame to Florence as the cradle of the Renaissance.

In the chapels you will find renowned sculptures by none other than Michelangelo. As someone with close ties to the family, he felt an obligation to create memorials perfect for the family.

You can see "Day and Night", as well as "Dawn and Dusk" and "Madonna and Child". These immaculate sculptures represent the ever-moving power of time, which will inevitably lead to death.

Inside you will also see a statue of Anna Maria Luisa de Medici, the last member of the family. She was the person who bequeathed the family's entire art collection to Florence. There was only one condition: that it be open to the public.

Please note that this experience does not include entrance to the Basilica of San Lorenzo.

My thing is not art, but as an obligatory step and respect for the history of Florence - Italy, I went to see the chapel. The truth is sublime, there is nothing to say.
