Step by Step
On this gastronomic tour of Aosta, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the rich culinary tradition of the region and discover the authentic flavours that characterise it. During the approximately three and a half hour experience, you will visit different places to taste the traditional products of the region.
You will be accompanied at all times by a local gastronomic expert, as well as a small group of about twelve participants for a more personalised service. You can choose to do the tour in the morning or in the evening, as well as whether you want the option with drinks included.
The tour is on foot and includes tastings of local products, such as cheeses, cold meats, breads and wines, allowing you to experience first-hand the unique flavours of Aosta. Your guide will share with you interesting information about the culinary history of the region and take you to the best places to try traditional food.
As you pass by restaurants, wine bars and cafes, you will get to know the highlights of Aosta, such as:
- Porta Praetoria, the ancient main entrance to the city from the city walls.
- Mura di Aosta, the ramparts dating back to Roman times.
- Piazza Emile Chenoux, a central place where the town hall is located.
- Lebbroso Tower, a Roman bastion which was later used as a residence for the nobles.
