Step by Step

This 10-hour tour will take you directly from your hotel in Athens to Epidaurus and Mycenae, two of the most important ancient cities of Greece. Entrance fees to the ancient theatre of Epidaurus, the tomb of Agamemnon and the archaeological site of Mycenae are included. Lunch can be included if you wish. You will travel in a comfortable and well-equipped bus. You will be accompanied by a guide specialised in Greek history who will explain everything in detail during the visit.

The first stop of the tour will be Epidaurus, famous for its ancient theatre. The theatre is known for its great acoustics, it is said that even whispers can be heard throughout the amphitheatre. Your guide will tell you about the fascinating history of this place as you explore the ruins and imagine what it would be like to witness a performance on this stage.

You will then head to the Treasury of Atreus to witness the tomb of Agamemnon, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. It is located on the acropolis of Mycenae, an ancient city with a great history. You will then admire the Lion's Gate, an imposing entrance to the city that has stood the test of time. You can also explore part of the Cyclopean Walls and the Palace of Agamemnon.

Finally, you will see the imposing Corinth Canal and the city of Nafplion. In this city you will take a walking tour where you will have a beautiful panoramic view of the Palamidi Castle and the small island of Bourtzi. During the excursion you will learn about the ancient Mycenaean civilisation and its importance in the history of Greece.
