Step by Step

Hamburg is a German city famous primarily for having the largest port in Germany and one of the largest in the world. On this experience you will cruise around this port on the Elbe River and enjoy breathtaking views of the container port and the cityscape.

You will also have the opportunity to see legendary sights such as the Elbe River Tunnel, the Speicherstadt, which is considered to be the largest wooden pile warehouse district, and the unique Elphi Auditorium. On board the huge luxury boat, you'll be treated to live commentary on each location you pass.

On the one hand, you will see Germany's largest container port, the Port of Hamburg. This was called "Germany's gateway to the world" and is also noted for its advantageous position and state-of-the-art facilities. The port was founded in 1189 and has been one of the most significant in Europe for centuries.

Not only will you walk along the River Elbe, one of Hamburg's raisons d'être and the reason for its economic and commercial growth , but you will also see the tunnel under the river. Built in 1911, this architectural feat was designed to facilitate the connection between riverbanks and the work of harbour workers.

Of particular importance is Speicherstadt, another of the locations you will see, which is located in HafenCity. This unique warehouse district is criss-crossed by canals, which facilitates transit. According to history, it was built as a free trade zone for the exchange of goods without paying customs duties. It has also been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
