Step by Step

Explore one of France's most beautiful monuments with this ticket to the Château de Villandry. This is a unique experience to admire one of the country's most impressive gardens in a building located in the Loire Valley and built in the 16th century by Jean Le Breton, the architect of King François I.

The château has had these gardens since the Renaissance. Following the Renaissance style in the 16th century, French in the 18th century and transformed into a landscaped park in the 19th century, the gardens of Villandry, redesigned by Joachim Carvallo at the beginning of the 20th century, are an original creation that has managed to blend tradition with innovation.

You can visit the gardens which are divided into several sections, each with its own design and theme. For example, the most famous is the Garden of Love, with a central fountain surrounded by four smaller gardens. Each of these sections represents a different aspect of love. Likewise, these famous gardens are also known for their use of colour, with different sections featuring plants and flowers in a range of shades.

Aside from the gardens, you will have the chance to access the interior of the castle where there is a museum that showcases the history and architecture of the building, with plenty of Renaissance furnishings.

It is worth noting that visitors can enhance the experience by adding an audio guide or tour guide to their booking for an additional cost.

The garden is spectacular, I have never seen anything like it in my life. As for the castle, it leaves a few things to be desired to my personal taste, but it is also very beautiful and interesting to visit.
