Step by Step

Thanks to these tickets for the Palace of Versailles, you can tour the grounds dedicated to the Sun King at your leisure. Built in the 17th century for King Louis XIV, this majestic building is located in Versailles, some 19 kilometres west of the French capital

With these tickets you will have access to the Trianon estate, adjacent to the gardens and made up of the palaces of the Grand Trianon, the Petit Trianon, the Queen's Village and several ornamental gardens.

This area is associated with Marie-Antoinette. It was the refuge of the queen, who was fascinated by rural life. She used it to get away from the hustle and bustle of the palace and built a village to receive guests and even for the education of her children. This village is inspired by the traditional rustic architecture of Normandy.

You will also have access to the palace gardens, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Please note, however, that you will have to pay an additional fee if they coincide with the days of the Fountain Show and the Musical Garden. These usually take place between April and October each year.

During weekends and the Christmas period in December, you will also have access to the Carriage Gallery. This is one of the galleries of the Grand Stables. Here you can see the gala carriages commissioned for the wedding of Napoleon I, the carriage for the funeral of Louis XVIII and the carriage for the coronation of Charles X, among others.

Being such a large place it was a bit tiring to get to know the whole place. The visit was very good and the gardens looked amazing. Highly recommended.
