Karlstejn Castle was built in the 14th century by the Holy Roman Emperor Charles IV. At that time, this fortification was the place where the treasures of the Holy Roman Empire were kept. Now, although the splendour of the Empire is long gone, you can soak up its history thanks to this tour.
