Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of truffles with this truffle hunting experience in Rovinj. You will be picked up from your hotel and met by a local truffle hunter who will take you to the forests of Istria, famous for being home to some of the best truffles in the world.
As you walk through the forests, you will learn about the history and tradition of truffle hunting in the region, as well as the different varieties of truffles found in Istria. During the approximately 1.5 hour experience, you will have the opportunity to actively participate in the search for truffles, using trained dogs to detect the characteristic aroma of this underground delicacy.
You will experience the thrill of discovering a fresh truffle and learn about the techniques used to harvest them in a sustainable way. Once you have found some truffles, you will enjoy a fresh truffle tasting and wine tasting, where you can savour their unique and aromatic flavour in different culinary preparations.
