Step by Step
In this activity you will have the opportunity, for about 7 hours, to travel by boat around the bay of Ribeira da Barca, on the island of Santiago, Cape Verde. Throughout the activity, you will be accompanied by an expert guide, from whom you will learn many interesting facts about the culture and ecosystem of the places you will visit.
The day will start with a pick-up from your hotel and a drive to the west of the island. On the way, you will make photo stops in the charming village of Assomada before arriving at the picturesque bay of Ribeira da Barca Village. Here, you will begin your aquatic adventure aboard a traditional fishing boat.
During the boat trip, you will have the opportunity to admire the unique rock formations of Pilon de Achada Leite, considered one of the seven wonders of Cape Verde . These spectacular rocks surrounded by small crabs will leave you in awe of their natural beauty.
You will then head to Aguas Belas, which means "beautiful waters" in Portuguese. Sea conditions permitting, you can swim and snorkel in the sea caves in this area, where you can get up close and personal with the local marine life. Meanwhile, the staff on board will prepare a delicious seafood barbecue on the beach.
After enjoying your lunch on a black sand beach, you will return to Ribeira da Barca to conclude your tour and be taken back to your accommodation . Don't miss this exciting aquatic adventure that combines nature, marine exploration and a delicious meal on the beach.
