Visit the most emblematic areas of Rio de Janeiro on a half-day tour of Santa Teresa, Lapa and the city centre with a tram ride and a visit to the famous Selarón stairs.
The activity will be led by a local guide, who will narrate the history and anecdotes that the city holds, while you visit and take pictures of places and points of interest such as:
- Selarón Stairs: the famous stairs of Rio with an attractive decoration made in 1990 by the Chilean plastic artist Jorge Selarón. They have become an icon of the city.
- Parque das Ruinas: an iconic park in the Santa Teresa neighbourhood that is characterised by being a point of modernism in the city.
- Passeio Público: one of the oldest public parks in the country and the first to be built in America.
- Cinelândia: the largest public square in the city centre where you can see the municipal theatre, the metropolitan cathedral and more.
- Café Confeitaria: coffee shop located in the historic centre of Rio de Janeiro and was chosen as one of the 10 most beautiful cafes in the world.
You will enjoy a tram ride from the centre to Santa Teresa and pass over points such as the renowned Arcos da Lapa that serve as the entrance to the neighbourhood and the aqueduct that connects the water between Santa Teresa and the centre.
