Step by Step

Enjoy this excursion to Estancia Nibepo Aike from El Calafate, about 60 kilometres by road. A local guide will accompany you on this small-group experience that lasts between half a day or a full day, depending on your choice. You will have a guided horseback riding tour of Patagonia, which will also vary depending on the option you choose, as well as lunch or dinner. An air-conditioned vehicle will transfer you to and from the hotels selected in the reservation.

Estancia Nibepo Aike is a historic Patagonian ranch that was founded in 1914 by a Croatian immigrant named Santiago Peso. Its name is indigenous Tehuelche and means "place where there is fire".

Here you will see what traditional Patagonian life was like thanks to guided tours. You will learn about activities such as sheep shearing and horse riding.

You will be able to ride a horse during this activity to discover the most hidden corners of Patagonia. They have more than 200 horses, many of which are specially trained for riders of all levels, so you won't need any previous experience.

Rides can range from short excursions around the estancia to full-day adventures into the surrounding mountains, depending on which option you choose.

You'll also have all the necessary riding equipment, including helmets and boots so you don't need to bring anything with you.

I recommend taking the longer tour as you won't want to leave. The hours on horseback and the delicious lunch in company was the best part.
